The Utell reservations team report that bookings at hotels in Tokyo are back to levels before the earthquake in 2011. “Business reservations quickly caught up and leisure visitors are rising again now, thanks to Tokyo’s swift recovery” reports Eiko from the reservations team.

Tips when booking hotels in Tokyo
Like any city, there are important factors to take into account when booking clients into hotels in Tokyo. Emily from the reservation team says:

  • Don’t worry if there isn’t WiFi available, most hotels offer hi-speed ethernet access free of charge in their rooms.
  • Make sure to specify a non-smoking room if your clients require it. Japan still has high rates of smoking, so hotels will have a good number of rooms for smokers.
  • Don’t be surprised if the room size is small, even in luxury hotels. This is a feature of Tokyo, due to limited space in the city.

Utell offers a wide variety of hotels across Tokyo. You can be sure to find just the right hotel for your clients whether they are visiting for business or pleasure. Of the 28 that we feature there is a good selection of both budget and luxury hotels, ones in the commercial part of Tokyo, near the station and close to the airports.
